Rushton began his career in investment banking as a credit underwriting analyst then associate at Truist Securities covering technology relationships. His responsibilities included investment diligence and monitoring of credit commitments for a portfolio of clients.

Prior to joining Renovo, Rushton completed his MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. For undergraduate, he received a BBA in Finance from Auburn University, graduating summa cum laude.
